Wellness : A Holistic Approach (Part I)

Whether you are aware of it or not, like it or not, we are all connected and interacting with each other and everything else in the universe in a continual dance of energy exchange every minute.

The energy you received from all that surrounds you, and/or with whoever and whatever you come in contact, impacts you, gets altered within you, and is then sent out to impact everything outside you.

Wellness is all about YOU in totality. It includes all areas of your life - physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, social and more.

I like to share with you an exercise -- a fascinating and powerful tool which I learnt from Dr John Travis' book. It is call the Wellness Wheel which I have provided below.

This is a simple exercise which gives a fast check on which area of your life needs attention and adjustment. It provides a complete overall scenario of how balance your life is - holistically. It also serves as a guide in the directions you want to live your life.

Should you like to know how to use the Wellness Wheel, please refer to Part II article.

Wellness is not static, or a destination to reach. It is a life-long journey of adventure, integrates with growth, development and expansion of oneself. Resisting it could be a roller coaster ride for you.

Wellness requires you to ask questions instead of accepting the “cultural norms”; to be responsible to make adjustments to what works, and take charge of how you want to live your life – either toward optimal wellness/life or state of degeneration/death.
